Across New York City, families brought their 3- and 4-year-olds for the first day of in-person learning. There's much that’s familiar: children holding tight to their grownups, oversized backpacks, jitters and excitement. But there's also so much that's changed, from masks and temperature checks to the elevated anxiety of school during a pandemic. Hear how a pre-K class in Sunnyside, Queens, made it work.
