Marcus Miller at The Blue Note
April 12-17, April 19-24. 8PM and 10:30PM.
$50-$65

Brooklyn’s own Marcus Miller is a Grammy-winning composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, best known these days as a bassist. He’s worked with a huge assortment of musicians, from Eric Clapton to Luther Vandross to Miles Davis. And like Miles, he appears not to recognize any borders between jazz, R&B, and funk. In fact, during his residency at the Blue Note, he and some of the members of Miles Davis’s band of the 1980s are going to perform some of the music from Miles’ so-called “electric period,” including the title track from the 1986 album Tutu, which Marcus Miller wrote, produced, and played on. Marcus Miller is at The Blue Note, playing two sets a night from April 12-17, and April 19-24.
