Celebrated poet and author Maggie Smith suspected something might be going on with her husband, and when she went through his briefcase she found evidence he had been having an affair. In her new memoir, You Could Make This Place Beautiful, Smith unpacks her feelings of betrayal, sadness, bitterness and the painful process of going through a divorce with two small children.
