The state of electric vehicles on Long Island

If you live on Long Island or have been there recently, you may notice there’s a lot of electric vehicles. That’s because Nassau and Suffolk counties lead the state in electric vehicle ownership, according to the research firm Atlas Public Policy.

But some people are still hesitant to buy an electric vehicle because of concerns like how far they can drive before they might need a charging station. 

Mark Harrington, an energy reporter for Newsday, talked with WNYC's Sean Carlson about the state of electric vehicle ownership on Long Island.
