Listen to a Mashup of the Republican Debate and Hamilton the Musical
If you were following Twitter during the Republican debate last night, you may have noticed something...lyrical about our tweets.
That's because we were tweeting using only lyrics from Hamilton The Musical! And so were a bunch of other WNYC folks.
WNYC's Andrea Bernstein came up with the idea. Click here to hear her discuss the similarities between the musical and the debate on the Brian Lehrer Show (there are more than you might think).
And listen above for a three-minute mash-up of debate talking points and Hamilton lyrics, seemingly made for each other.
A big, special thank you to Sharon Counts, City Center's Director of Education and Community Engagement, for taking over the Brian Lehrer Show's twitter account for the night and lending us her nimble Hamilton-filled mind!
