Larry & Joe is a duo consisting of Venezuelan harpist and singer Larry Bellorín and GRAMMY-nominated bluegrass and old-time musician Joe Troop. They met in North Carolina after Larry fled his homeland, and the two bonded over their shared love of traditional folk music from both North and South America. Larry & Joe often switch back and forth between Appalachian folk songs in English and Llanera music from Venezuela in Spanish. And sometimes, they just mix everything together, like in the song, “Nuevo South Train.” Larry & Joe.  They play March 13 at Joe’s Pub with Angélica Negrón opening the show.
