Kelly Moran Performs in Tin Drum: Medusa at Pioneer Works

The media company Tin Drum is presenting Medusa, a multimedia piece experienced through a mixed reality headset. The headset apparently superimposes imagery on the main hall at Pioneer Works and the piece also includes a soundscape by the Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, who died last week. In the live performances, pianist and composer Kelly Moran expands on Sakamoto’s original music and layers her own playing around it. Moran plays live as part of Medusa, a piece about architecture and nature, at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn, on Saturday April 8 and April 15.
