Kate Tempest is an award-winning poet, rapper, playwright, and performer.  A phenomenon in her native England.  A keen observer of the human condition, which isn’t always a happy thing. Her latest album, The Book Of Traps and Lessons, is a biting response to a country torn apart by Brexit, but it’s also about perseverance, media, myth, and ritual. And somehow, at the end of all that, it’s about love, and hope. Next Generation Poet Kate Tempest performs Tuesday night, Oct. 1, at Elsewhere.
