Kan Wakan: Moody Atmospheric Pop

Kan Wakan began as Gueorgui I. Linev's project to compose music inspired by classical orchestration with a minimal edge. After introducing more rock instrumentation into the mix -- with guitarist Peter Potyondy and vocals from Kristianne Bautista -- the Los Angeles group's sound has morphed into more contemporary pop, while still maintaining those symphonic influences.

Now, coming off its self-titled EP in 2012, Kan Wakan has signed with Verge and just released its debut album, Moving On, this week.
