The singer and multi-instrumentalist Ka Baird used to be in a trippy, psychedelic band called Spires That In The Sunset Rise. But after moving to New York, she’s set off on her own musical direction, using both operatic and avant-garde vocal techniques and improvising at the keyboard. Another key part of her sound is the flute, usually heavily altered by electronics. Ka Baird is part of a late show tonight at National Sawdust.
