June 2023 Schedule Changes for WNYC and NJPR

Starting Monday, June 5, 2023, you’ll hear changes to WNYC’s broadcast schedules with some programs now airing on both WNYC-FM and WNYC-AM, and others moving to new time slots. We’re also pleased to announce the addition of a new program, NPR’s Throughline, to our Sunday evening line-up. Here’s what you can expect:

Weekdays 9 a.m. – BBC’s Newshour will now be heard on WNYC-FM and WNYC-AM.

Complimenting and expanding on the news programming of Morning Edition, BBC’s Newshour provides on the ground reporting and analysis of international stories from correspondents and newsmakers around the world.

Weekdays 2 p.m. – Fresh Air will now be heard on WNYC-FM and WNYC-AM Monday-Thursday.

The Peabody Award-winning weekday magazine of contemporary arts and issues is one of public radio's most popular programs. Long-time host Terry Gross is now joined by Fresh Air’s new co-host Tonya Mosley.

On Fridays your trusted source for news about science, technology, and other cool stuff, Science Friday, will now be heard on both WNYC-FM and WNYC-AM

Weekdays 3 p.m. – 1A moves to 3 p.m. on WNYC-FM and WNYC-AM.

Hosted by Jenn White, 1A convenes roundtable, lively discussions with thoughtful guests and listeners from around the country on topics of policy and politics to technology, pop culture and sports, plus their weekly Friday News Round-up.

Weeknights 8 p.m. – On Point will now be heard on WNYC-FM as well as WNYC-AM

Hosted by Meghna Chakrabarti, On Point leans into the complexity of issues with curiosity-driven original reporting, first person stories and in-depth analysis and conversations.

Weeknights 9 p.m. – Tune in for some of public radio’s most popular programs on WNYC-FM.

Join us for Radiolab, Reveal, The Moth, Latino USA and On The Media.

Sunday 7 p.m. – NPR’s Throughline joins WNYC-FM’s Sunday evening schedule.

Following Notes From America, Throughline tackles the history behind today's headlines, and takes us back in time to understand the present.
