Jean-Michel Basquiat’s 60th Birthday

All Of It with Alison Stewart | Dec 22, 2020

Curator Chaédria LaBouvier and writer, curator, and musician Greg Tate join us on Jean-Michel Basquiat’s 60th birthday to discuss his influence on art history and music. LaBouvier was the first Black curator to curate a show at the Guggenheim with the 2019 show, Basquiat’s “Defacement”: The Untold Story, and Tate is the co-curator along with Liz Munsell of Writing the Future: Basquiat and the Hip-Hop Generation, up now at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
