The exact date of this episode is unknown. We've filled in the date above with a placeholder. What we actually have on record is: 1970-uu-uu.

In this interview, most likely recorded in 1970, Congressman James J. Delaney discusses his work on a committee to investigate the use of chemical additives in foods and cosmetics. Hearings with professors in this field were completed in 1952, and some of the legislation was passed as the Delaney Clause on the Food Additives Amendment of 1958. He asserts that the American public should not be used as "guinea pigs" and that testing should be completed before the item is available for purchase.
