It's Not Just Boys Who Are Eagle Scouts Anymore

Sydney Ireland, 19, started attending Boy Scout meetings with her older brother in kindergarten. Over the years, she became an unofficial member of Troop 414 in Manhattan, doing the same activities as the boys around her, but unable to earn merit badges. That changed last year when the Boy Scouts of America started allowing girls to enroll, and on Thursday night, she earned the celebrated Eagle rank.
