What Iowa and New Hampshire Republicans Want

The Brian Lehrer Show | Jan 25, 2016

Gabriel Sherman, national affairs editor at New York Magazine and the author of The Loudest Voice in the Room: How the Brilliant, Bombastic Roger Ailes Built Fox News--and Divided a Country (Random House, 2014), talks about campaign politics and his survey of Republicans about how to actually choose candidates.

Sherman also explains the latest beef between FOX News' Megyn Kelly and Donald Trump, calling it "a metaphor" for the Republican party coming apart at the seams. He hypothesizes that FOX might even give Kelly particularly contentious questions for Trump in the next debate, just to stir controversy.

And here's another bit of latest news: there's talk of Michael Bloomberg entering the presidential race. "If he does get into the race, I don't see a scenario in which he wins," said Sherman, saying if it's a Trump versus Bloomberg race, that's how we'll get President Trump.
