Dora Stratou was a noted Greek choreographer and folk theater founder. She was the director of Philopappas Folk Dancer Theater located on a hill opposite the Acropolis. On August 22, 1967, she received a special citation, newly created that year, by the International Theater Institute and American Educational Theater Association for her lifetime devotion to the theater as expressed through music and dance.

In this interview, Stratou talks extensively about the technicality of the Greek folk dance. She discusses the importance of folk dance and culture and keeping this form of art alive.
