The History Of Your Town

Rebecca Onion, Slate's history writer who also runs Slate's blog called "The Vault," is launching a project where she digs into the history of the small town where she currently lives. She invites you to play along, and gives you tips on how to research specific things about your town or neighborhood, including questions like: "Was slavery ever legal in your town?" and "Which Native American tribes lived in your area?"
