A Hidden Past In Mary Gordon's 'There Your Heart Lies'

Award-winning novelist Mary Gordon joins us to discuss her new book, There Your Heart Lies. It tells the story of an American woman named Marian and her experiences as a volunteer during the Spanish Civil War. When Marian is in her 90s, she decides to tell her granddaughter Amelia about her past, which permanently alters their relationship.

Mary Gordon will appear in conversation with Courtney Sullivan on June 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Shakespeare & Co. (939 Lexington Ave., between 68th and 69th St.).
