A Graphic Memoir on Finding Your True Self

Midday on WNYC | Sep 10, 2018

New Yorker cartoonist Liana Finck discusses her new book Passing for Human: A Graphic Memoir. Described by Finck as “a neurological coming-of-age story,” the memoir conveys the author's childhood where human connection proved elusive and her most enduring relationships were with plants and rocks and imaginary friends. From her mother’s artistic aspirations to her father’s struggle with the guilt of having passed his own form of otherness on to his daughter, Finck reveals how she finally found her way to her self.

On September 20 at 7:30 pm Liana Finck will be in conversation with Roz Chast at Greenlight Bookstore (686 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, NY 11217).

This segment is guest hosted by Duarte Geraldino.
