Grace Panvini and Curtis Rice

Grace Panvini and Curtis Rice run the non-profit Lyric Arts Opera Inc., which gives young new opera artists an opportunity to perform. This is their sixth year. operating as a showcase for new talent.

Panvini and Rice explain what they do and how they do it. The married couple are the principle backers of the group and they accept donations from the general public. They are also hopeful of getting more support from foundations.

Performances are given at the High School of Fashion Industries in Manhattan. Many of their students have made it to the professional stage. Marta Kokolska and Eddie Erikson are two among several mentioned.
