A Glimpse Inside 'The Shed'

WNYC News | May 3, 2018

In the spring of next year, The Shed will open its doors, bringing a huge new cultural and performing arts center to Manhattan's Hudson Yards on the west side. Right now The Shed is a construction site, but WNYC's John Schaefer got a glimpse of the building’s future venues during a hard hat tour with artistic director Alex Poots.

The public can get a preview of what's to come this week and next during "A Prelude to the Shed," a two week-long arts and music showcase a block away from the future performing arts center. Free events include dance, artist talks and concerts from rapper Azealia Banks, R&B singer-songwriter ABRA and Venezuelan DJ Arca.
