The sport of boxing can seem brutal, wild, and uncivilized. But some people see sparring as an intricate dance, possessing musical cadences. That’s the idea behind a show at Gleason’s Gym, the legendary boxing training facility in DUMBO, this weekend. Several sets of sparring partners will face off in short bouts…interspersed with chamber music, featuring many new compositions but also works as old as Mozart.
