Gig Alert: New Sounds Presents Matthew Dear at Public Arts

The electronic music field is a broad one, but few people cover more of it than Matthew Dear. He writes songs that employ buoyant dance floor rhythms but also use his dark-hued baritone to often chilly effect. He also produces instrumental works that can draw on ambient music, African polyrhythms, or minimalism. So when we decided to launch a new series of electronic music concerts at the Public Hotel, we asked Matthew Dear to be our first performer.  

The versatile electronic music producer and singer, Matthew Dear kicks off our New Sounds electronic music series at the Public Hotel on Christie Street tonight.
