Gig Alert: Mondo Cozmo at Baby's All Right

The L.A. band called Mondo Cozmo is essentially the work of singer and guitarist Joshua Ostrander. The debut Mondo Cozmo album is not out yet, but he’s already created a stir with his vocals, reminiscent of early Bob Dylan, and his arrangements, which often work themselves into a big “Hey Jude” style buildup. His song “Shine” careens between heartfelt prayer and a celebration of beer, weed, and dancing, with enough gusto to make you feel good about either side. Mondo Cozmo plays tonight at Baby’s All Right, a free show but rsvp’s required.
