New York City-based M.A.K.U. Soundsystem call themselves an “immigrant band.” Entirely accurate, since most of their eight members are originally from Colombia. Their music combines hints of Colombian folklore and psychedelic-rock, along with Caribbean grooves and street smarts, like this tune, “Happy Hour.”
