Gig Alert: Diderot String Quartet featuring Dashon Burton

EVENT: Schubert's "Winterreise" performed by Diderot String Quartet & Dashon Burton at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday

The great Austrian classical composer Franz Schubert was only 31 when he died in 1828. One of his greatest works, the song cycle Winterreise, was one of his last. The title translates to “Winter Journey,” and it was originally written just for piano and voice. Noted chamber music ensemble The Diderot Quartet has now reimagined Schubert’s Winterreise for bass and strings, which you can hear them perform with Grammy-winning vocalist Dashon Burton tomorrow at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on the Upper West Side.
