In the 1960s and early 70s, Brigitte Bardot was one of the most, ahem, desirable names in film. Her name has become a kind of shorthand for glamorous allure. That seems to be what this French pop duo was banking on when they chose the name “Brigitte.” And as you can hear, their latest sound is a faithful homage to that era, as well.
