GIG: Wednesday night at Joe's Pub

The trio known as Black Sea Hotel is three women from Brooklyn who sing old-world harmonies, a capella. The group calls it “Balkan vocal pyrotechnics.” Audiences call it mesmerizing. For an example, here’s “Mori Dobro Vecher” from their 2013 record, The Forest Is Shaking And Swaying.

Black Sea Hotel sings at Joe’s Pub tonight.
