Sax player and clarinetist Stefan Zeniuk is one crazy cat. Based in New York and a huge fan of Latin music, he leads the band called Gato Loco, “Crazy Cat,” which plays a wide array of Latin-infused music. The band even did an album based on the Requiem Mass composed by Giuseppe Verdi, where they set some of Verdi’s operatic music to Latin beats and added cheeky titles  This is the Dies Irae, which translates as “Day of Wrath,” but Gato Loco calls their version “Die You Sucka.” Gato Loco brings their Latin rhythms to the Brooklyn club Barbès on Thursday, Aug. 29.
