Musician and novelist John Darnielle of the Mountain Goats talks about his latest book, Devil House, and the connection between writing songs and novels. Ethan Eng discusses the inspiration behind his 2019 coming of age docu-film Therapy Dogs, which has become a rare time capsule of teenage life as it was just before the pandemic. Photographers Constance Hansen and Russell Peacock take us back to the day they shot the cover art for Janet Jackson's iconic 1989 record, Rhythm Nation 1814. One by one, each of this year's Canada Reads contenders reveal their identities and the books they're championing.
