The 2022 Super Bowl Halftime show will feature a star-studded lineup of Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and Dr. Dre. It's the first time hip-hop has been truly front and center of the cultural spectacle. But for how important hip-hop has been to popular culture over the last thirty years, why has it taken the NFL so long to catch up?
