Fending for Yourself and High School Choice

The deadline to choose a high school is December 2. Carolyn Sattin-Bajaj, assistant professor of education policy and research at Seton Hall University and the author of  Unaccompanied Minors: Immigrant Youth, School Choice, and the Pursuit of Equity (Harvard Education Press, 2014)  found that for immigrant students and their families, the process can reinforce the inequities it seeks to solve.
