Elizabeth Kolbert on the Myth of Racial Difference

Midday on WNYC | Mar 21, 2018

Science tells us there is no genetic basis for race. That's right: none. In her story for The National Geographic's "Race Issue," Pulitzer Prize-winning author Elizabeth Kolbert explores how similar we actually are. Her article, "There is No Scientific Basis for Race - It's a Made-Up Label," explains that there is greater genetic diversity among different communities within Africa than there is among the billions of humans living on every other continent.

This segment is guest hosted by DW Gibson.
