Dizzy – "Barking Dog" (Weekly Music Roundup)

Dizzy was the name of an Ontario-based group led by singer Katie Munshaw. She once described Dizzy’s music as “sad dream pop,” although some of their songs were actually quite sunny. Now, Dizzy is being presented as a solo project, and her new single, “Barking Dog,” definitely fits that “sad dream pop” description. It uses Munshaw’s family dog, rescued from an earlier abusive home, as a metaphor for the perils of thinking that falling in love will solve all your problems.
