Singer, rapper, and writer Dessa is a member of the long-running hip hop collective known as Doomtree, though hip hop is just one part of what she does. Dessa has also done concerts of her songs with the Minnesota Orchestra, published a well-received book of essays, and hosts the podcast Deeply Human. Her new album, her first in 5 years, is called Bury The Lede, and she plays Friday, Oct. 20, with Arthur Moon at Le Poisson Rouge
