De Blasio Says New York City Schools Are Closed Through June. Cuomo Says Not So Fast

WNYC News | Apr 13, 2020

Governor Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio continue to clash over whether New York City's public schools will remain closed through the end of the academic year. The mayor announced he's keeping the city schools closed through June as a matter of public health and safety. The governor says that's just the mayor's opinion, and he'll make the call in coordination with the governors of neighboring states and the business community. Parents and students say the back-and-forth increased anxiety and confusion during an extremely stressful time.
