Teaching Dothraki to Drogo on 'Game of Thrones'

David J. Peterson has created languages for the HBO series Game of Thrones and the Syfy series Defiance, and more. The Art of Language Invention: From Horse-Lords to Dark Elves, the Words Behind World-Building  is a creative guide to language construction and offers an overview of language creation, covering its history from Tolkien's creations and Klingon to today's thriving global community of conlangers.

EVENTS: On Sunday, October 11, David J. Peterson will be at the Polyglot Conference at 12:00 P.M., which will be held at the SVA Theatre, 333 W 23rd St New York, NY 10011.

Peterson will make various appearances at New York Comic Con, being held at the Javits Center, 655 West 34th Street, New York, NY 10018 through the weekend, including a panel on "Geek" -Constructing Fandoms at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, October 11.
