If you ever find yourself stranded on a desert island, never underestimate the dead guy who washes up on shore.

That's the absurd, yet poignant plot of the new film "Swiss Army Man," in which a chance encounter begins a friendship between a man and a corpse. Daniel Radcliffe plays a dead body that transform into a vital survival tool for a cast away played by Paul Dano.

Here, directors Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert explain why Radcliffe and Dano were the right actors for the lead roles, and they discuss how they find beauty and hope in the most unexpected places.
