Rembrandt's First Masterpiece Makes Its American Debut

Rembrandt’s painting, Judas Returning the Thirty Pieces of Silver, has long been recognized as the artist’s first masterpiece. It was completed in 1629 when he was only 23. The painting has been in a British private collection for almost 200 years, and it is currently being shown in the US for the first time at the Morgan Library and Museum. Colin Bailey, director of The Morgan Library & Museum, discusses the exhibit, Rembrandt's First Masterpiece" which is on display through September 18th.
