'Close,' 'Arctic,' 'The Jungle'

Screenwriter, producer, and director Vicky Jewson and actor Noomi Rapace join us to discuss the new film, “Close,” which will be released on Netflix on January 18. Inspired by the true story of one of the first female bodyguards in the UK, the film was written and directed by Jewson and stars Rapace, the actress who tackled the lead role in "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

 

Actor Mads Mikkelsen (at 20:34) joins us to discuss his career and his new film, "Arctic," which comes out in February.

 

Ammar Haj Ahmad (at 38:10) joins us to discuss the play, “The Jungle.” The Syrian actor is the lead in this production, which run at St. Ann's Warehouse through January 27. Written by Joe Robertson and Joe Murphy, “The Jungle” takes place in the infamous migrant camp in Calais, France.
