John Schaefer's last in-person concert was the annual Tibet House benefit concert at Carnegie Hall in 2020. It ended with Patti Smith leading Iggy Pop, Laurie Anderson, Philip Glass, Phoebe Bridgers and many others in a rendition of her song “People Have the Power.” That’s the kind of concert this is - the guest list is always terrific, and this year, includes Brittany Howard, vocalist, guitarist, and main songwriter of the rock bands Alabama Shakes and Thunderbitch. Howard joins Philip Glass, Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder, Afropop star Angelique Kidjo, the band Flaming Lips, and many others on Wed., Feb. 17, for the online edition of the annual Tibet House Benefit Concert.
