With the recent firing of FBI director James Comey, many have seen similarities with that and what happened during President Nixon’s tenure. And so for our Bonus Podcast this week, we’ll revisit an interview Leonard did with Nixon’s White House Counsel John W. Dean, one of the last major surviving figures of Watergate; we take a look at the project to digitize and transcribe the tapes made in the Oval Office when Nixon was president, and what they reveal about him and his presidency. We’ll also hear Leonard's conversation with James Reston Jr. who helped prepare TV personality David Frost for a 1977 series of interviews with Nixon, three years after his resignation.
