Science journalist Bonnie Rochman joins us to discuss her book, The Gene Machine: How Genetic Technologies Are Changing the Way We Have Kids--and the Kids We Have. She investigates how gene technology is advancing what we can know about our children like their dispositions to diseases, and the ethical questions that come with that knowledge.

Bonnie Rochman will be in conversation with bioethicist Art Caplan, genetic counselor Shivani Nazareth and moderator Randi Hutter Epstein, MD at 6:30 p.m. on June 8 at the 92nd St. Y (1395 Lexington Ave.).
