Jazz Pianist Bill Charlap Plays Live!

Jazz pianist and two-time Grammy nominee Bill Charlap performs songs from his new album “Uptown, Downtown" live in our studio!

Celebrating their 20th year playing together, the Bill Charlap Trio is in residence at the Village Vanguard (178 Seventh Ave., between W 11th St. and Perry St.) from Sept. 12-17. The trio consists of Bill Charlap (piano), Peter Washington (bass) and Kenny Washington (drums).

Bill Charlap will also perform an all-improvised concert with Dick Hyman on Oct. 14 at 8 p.m. at the 92nd St. Y's Kaufmann Concert Hall (1395 Lexington Ave., between 91st and 92nd St.).
