Big Red Machine at Pioneer Works, 37d03d Festival, Sat., May 4
Tickets: $60-$100. Festival runs from 7 - 11:30 pm, May 3 and May 4.

Baseball fans may remember the Big Red Machine as the nickname for the Cincinnati Reds championship teams of the 70s. But music fans will know it as the side project of guitarist Aaron Dessner, from the Cincinnati-born rock band The National, and Justin Vernon, who records his best-selling albums under the name Bon Iver. They’ve invited lots of musical friends to play with them in a movable musical feast called People, which they now spell 37d03d, which if you turn it upside down, spells People, sort of.

Big Red Machine plays Sat., May 4 as part of the two day People festival at Pioneer Works, which starts Friday night, May 3. The lineup includes Anaïs Mitchell, This Is The Kit, Sinkane, Greg Fox, Resistance Revival Chorus, Shahzad Ismaily, and lots more.
