You can never be too sure what to expect from guitarist Benjamin Verdery – he is a first-rate classical guitarist, but he’s also been known to trot out his Jimi Hendrix arrangements – sure-fire crowdpleasers – and brand new works that he’s either commissioned or composed himself. 

Tonight, Benjamin Verdery joins forces with the St. Lawrence String Quartet to premiere a new work by fellow guitarist Bryce Dessner and to play some classical favorites at the 92ndSt Y, where he is the artistic director for the Art of the Guitar series.
