How Doctors Use Text Messages to Get Medical Aid to Syria

New Yorker contributor Ben Taub reveals how doctors in other parts of the world are aiding medical workers in Syria. A United Nations commission found that “government forces [in Syria] deliberately target medical personnel to gain military advantage,” and the medical personnel that remain in the country are often under-prepared for or untrained to treat the types of injuries they meet in the field.
