For decades, actor and filmmaker Terry Carter was often the only black actor on Hollywood sets. He talks about his career in film and television, including his pioneering role in 1965 as the only black actor in the World War II drama Combat!. Carter was a regular cast member of The Phil Silvers Show (popularly known as 'Sergeant Bilko') and is best known for his role as Colonel Tigh in the original Battlestar Galactica TV series. He also played opposite Pam Grier in the motion picture Foxy Brown. More recently, Carter had a recurring role in Hotel Caesar, Norway's most popular soap opera, as Solomon Tefari, an Ethiopian businessman.
