Balún is a sextet based in Brooklyn that grew out of the Puerto Rican indie scene and broke through with their 2018 LP Prisma Tropical. They’ve just released their first single since then. The hiatus is easy to understand, because lead singer Angélica Negrón has become a sought-after classical composer.
