New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio takes calls from listeners and discusses this week in NYC.
The mayor talks about his frustration with the lack of information from the federal government regarding the children separated from their families at the border and brought to the city, the potential expansion of Citi Bike and dockless bikes, peeling paint from subway stations, NYCHAÂ not in compliance with federal standards, the expiration of speed cameras in school zones, and placard abuse (on that, he says, a new plan will be out soon).
On the uncertainty re: whether children separated from their parents at the border who wound up in NYC have been re-united w/their families, @NYCMayor says "what's still shocking to me is we can't get the federal government to give us answers...it's really unprecedented."

On placard abuse, @NYCMayor says city is issuing more tickets for illegal use of placards. "I want to keep encouraging people to report placard abuse - it helps." But he says the new plan will be more aggressive, and it'll be out soon.
